Serves 4
- 4 8″ flour tortillas, cut into 2″ strips
- 2 Tbsp olive oil

- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- salt
- pepper
- hummus
- paprika
On 2 baking sheets, toss tortilla strips with olive oil and thyme, oregano, and sesame seeds; season with salt and pepper. Bake at 425°F , switching the sheets halfway through, until crisp, 5 to 7 minutes. Serve with hummus drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with paprika.
On theme with my hunt for healthier snacks and sides, I found this in Real Simple’s 10 Ideas for: Tortillas. I did overcook the strips and forgot the salt and pepper. Overall though, they were pretty good. I made them again and did a better job the second time around.
They make a great snack on their own or an excellent side with a sandwich. An awesome substitute for chips! And with the hummus and spices, it’s really a nice blend of flavors!
