Hands-on Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Serves 1
- 2 Tbsp raspberry jam
- 2 slices challah bread
- 2 Tbsp butter
- confectioners’ sugar
Make a sandwich with the challah and jam. In a skillet, cook in butter over medium heat until golden and crisp, turning once. Dust with confectioners’sugar.
From a Real Simple feature on ideas for raspberry jam, this is a delicious and simple dessert! I highly, highly recommend it.
For anyone new to cooking and baking, yes confectioners’ sugar is powdered sugar.
If you’ll recall, I’d only been recently introduced to challah and had a hard time finding it. Even with Kate’s<?a> help I had to go a bit of a hike. And even though I did use the same loaf here as I did here for this recipe, I have since found a place that bakes fresh challah regularly much closer to home! So hopefully I’ll be making this recipe again much sooner than I got. Although the majority of this original loaf went to making this recipe over and over until we ran out!
Ooh, this sounds delish. French toasty!
