Holiday Eggnog

Total Time:  10 minutes

  • 1 carton eggnog
  • 1 tub frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 carton vanilla ice cream
  • Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum

Mix ingredients until tastes good.

This recipe was passed on to us a number of years ago by a really good friend.  Yes, that is the extent of direction on this recipe. And yes, this is a recipe for eggnog and it’s only August!

For the past two years we’ve hosted a Christmas in July for friends. It is such a great time with great food and fun!

Holiday Eggnog - the ice cream scoops don't have to be mixed as well as they help keep the drink cold!

We had extra ingredients after the party so we made another batch.  I think we usually end up using a whole carton of eggnog to half a tub of whipped topping and half a carton of ice cream.  As for the alcohol, well that never really gets measured.  And yes, it sometimes ends up a little too strong but then you just add a little more of the other ingredients to even it out!

*I do apologize for the pictures.  Not that I’m the greatest photographer anyways, but these especially leave something to be desired.  I didn’t think about how mixing it in the pitcher would slosh up the sides and kinda ruin the look I was hoping for.

    1. I was not interested in eggnog in the least before this recipe. Then I tried it, was hooked, and it’s the only eggnog I’ll drink!
