I have heard many people go on about Kale Chips. They seem to be a great, healthy snack. So when I saw Jen post this recipe to Once Upon a Chef, I didn’t hesitate to bookmark it. But now I’m not so sure they’re for me.
The first time I made them, I thought I could get away with being efficient and baking them with the Jalapeno Cheddar Chip Crusted Chicken. But seeing as they cook at different times and temps I knew this was risky. It hasn’t always worked out before, and is definitely not smart to do with brand new recipes. So yes, I burnt them. Some not so bad as others so I somewhat got the taste of them.
Of course, I had to give it another go. And the second time I think I still may have overcooked them. Not as bad as the first but either 1) I overcooked them or 2) I just am not a fan of kale chips.
Do you like kale chips? Am I doing something wrong? Should I give them another try?
I had a really bad experience with curry kale chips once and I haven’t been able to go back! Good luck on your quest. :)
Curry kale chips? Those sound . . . interesting . . . lol. Glad to be reassured I’m not alone with my apparent dislike of kale chips.
I’ve had kale chips before, they are tasty! They make them in the cafe at work sometimes, nice healthy snack.
